The Chamber of Industry and Commerce for East Frisia and Papenburg (IHK), as an organisation of economic self-government, represents the interests of businesses in the districts of Aurich, Leer and Wittmund as well as in the cities of Emden and Papenburg. All companies, whether industrial, commercial or service enterprises, are obliged by law to be members of the IHK. This makes the IHK a strong community of solidarity that can work to balance the interests of all its members.
