The ZfTI is a foundation of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, an institute at the University of Duisburg-Essen and a member of the Johannes Rau Research Association. The tasks of the ZfTI today include German, Turkish and European migration and integration research, the stimulation and networking of academic research with Turkey and the promotion of academic exchange between Turkey and Germany.
