The Fraunhofer IST stands for surface technology with competences in the associated product and production systems. By modifying, structuring and coating the surface a wide variety of functions and functionalities, and thus future-proof products and systems, are realized. Together with customers from industry and research, we develop tailor-made and sustainable solutions - from prototypes to economical production scenarios to scaling up to industrial scales, also taking into account closed material and substance cycles.
