The Centre for IT Security is located in the Technology Quarter Bochum, in the immediate vicinity of the scientific institutes and facilities of the Ruhr University Bochum, which enjoys an outstanding reputation worldwide in IT security, especially through the Horst Görtz Institute for Information Security (HGI).
