The profile of the Kirchliche Hochschule (KiHo) Wuppertal is shaped by three missions: resistant theology in the tradition of the Confessing Church, innovation in theological research and teaching, and theological recruitment and education for the churches and all contexts in which good theologians are needed. This diversity of tasks means that the KiHo, as a relatively small university, develops a colourful bouquet of activities (e.g. church services, action weeks, public lectures, cooperation with other places of education in church and society) in addition to its courses and research activities (including conferences and academic publications). In this way, theology can be experienced as a lively, discursive and productive science in the midst of life.
